Please take a moment to consider those words.

 

He also said in John 3:16,

“For God so loved the world

that He gave His only begotten Son,

that whosoever believes in Him would not perish,

but have everlasting life.”

 

Jesus is the Son of God. He came to this earth two thousand years ago and lived in a flesh body just like you and I have.

To fulfill His purpose of redeeming mankind back to God, for sin had caused separation, He endured mocking, cursing, brutal beating, and finally death by crucifixion. He was buried in a borrowed tomb, but after three days God did raise Him from the dead, just as Jesus had promised. This is the greatest news ever heard!

Jesus Christ, the perfect, sinless, Lamb of God, by the shedding of His innocent blood, made it possible for you and I to have a relationship with Him. After His resurrection and proclaiming that
“All power is given Me in heaven and in earth”(Matthew 28:18), He ascended up into heaven, while His disciples looked on.

An angel proclaimed that He would return, just as they had seen Him go.
